Larry Brooks

Ph.D. | ABPP-CN (Clinical Neuropsychology)

Dr. Brooks is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist with more than 15 years of experience in neuropsychological assessment, psychological evaluation and cognitive rehabilitation. He is Clinical Director of Brain Injury and Concussion Rehabilitation at Baptist Hospital and a consulting neuropsychologist to the Florida Panthers. From 2013 to 2021 he was a neuropsychologist at Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Regional South Hospital, and earlier he directed the Cognitive Rehabilitation Service at the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Brooks earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Miami and completed a neuropsychology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine and postdoctoral training in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he later served on the faculty. His published research covers the progression of mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer's disease, performance validity testing, and depression and pain after spinal cord injury. He lectures regularly on neuropsychological assessment, brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation, and he is licensed as a psychologist in Florida.
